Terms of Service

Legal entity not yet registered. This service is operated by an individual who has not yet registered a legal entity. No company name, registered address, or jurisdiction has been established. The operator must supply the entity name, address and jurisdiction before these terms bind anyone. Until then, use of this service is provided on an as-is basis without formal terms of service.

Service description

Headergrade is an HTTP security header diagnostic tool. It accepts a URL, fetches that URL server-side, and reports on six security-related HTTP response headers. The service is provided free of charge, with planned paid tiers that are not yet available.

Billing

Headergrade is currently free for all users. No payment information is collected or required.

Paid plans are planned for future release and are not yet available for purchase. When they become available, the following billing terms will apply:

Price: Pro plan at $12 per month. Enterprise pricing will be custom-quoted.
Billing period: Monthly, in advance. The first charge occurs at sign-up, and subsequent charges recur on the same calendar day each month.
Failed payment: If a charge fails (e.g. expired or declined card), the account will retain access for a 7-day grace period. A retry will be attempted every 48 hours. After 7 days without a successful charge, access to paid features will be suspended until the payment is resolved.
Refunds: Refunds are issued at the operator's discretion. Because the service is provided as-is, refunds are not guaranteed. If you believe you were charged in error, contact the operator within 14 days of the charge.
Downgrade to Free: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Paid access continues until the end of the current billing period, then the account reverts to Free tier.

Paid plans have not launched yet. The terms above describe what will apply when they do. No real payments are being processed today.

No accounts, no stored data

Headergrade does not require an account. It does not store user data, check history, or personal information. Each check is a single request processed in memory and discarded immediately.

Acceptable use

You may use Headergrade to inspect any URL you have the right to access. You may not use Headergrade to probe URLs without authorization, to perform denial-of-service attacks, or to violate any applicable law.

No warranty

Headergrade is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The header analysis is based on a single HTTP request and may not reflect the full configuration of a target server. Results may vary due to network conditions, server load, or platform limitations. We do not guarantee that all headers will be detected or that explanations are complete.

Limitation of liability

In no event shall the operator be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from the use of this service.

Platform limitations

Headergrade runs on Cloudflare Workers. This platform cannot open TCP sockets to hosts also behind Cloudflare. As a result, some targets may report as unreachable due to this platform limitation, not due to any configuration issue on the target. This limitation is stated on the check page.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated at any time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

No governing law or jurisdiction has been selected because the operator has not registered a legal entity or established a jurisdiction. This section will be updated when a jurisdiction is determined.
